Shop Yanga is designed to store your business data locally on your device for fast, reliable access. To ensure your data is safe and accessible across devices, the application also syncs this information to our secure cloud backend.

• Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your username, password (securely hashed), and assign a unique shop ID to manage your business profile and authorize access.
• Business Data (Syncing): To prevent data loss and allow multi-device management, your business data—including inventory, sales, expenses, users, and daily closing records—is securely synchronized to our cloud servers.
• Camera Access: Used for barcode scanning and capturing images of inventory items.
• Biometric Authentication: Shop Yanga may use your device's biometric authentication (Fingerprint or Face ID) to provide secure local login. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We do not access, store, or transmit biometric information.
• Device Storage: Storage access is required to maintain the local database (SQLite/Drift) where inventory, sales, and reports are stored locally before and after being synced.
• Device Information: We collect limited non-identifiable information such as device model, operating system version, and a unique device ID to manage synchronization, session tracking, and ensure application stability.
• Bluetooth & Nearby Devices: Shop Yanga may request Bluetooth permissions to discover and connect to local receipt printers or barcode peripherals. We do not use Bluetooth to track your location or collect any personal information.
• Document Generation: When you generate sales receipts or business reports (PDF/CSV), these files are processed and stored locally on your device. You maintain full ownership and control over these documents.

2. How We Use Information

The information accessed by Shop Yanga is used to:

• Operate and maintain the Shop Yanga application.
• Securely synchronize your business data to our cloud backend for backup and multi-device access.
• Provide inventory management, barcode scanning, and sales tracking features.
• Generate reports and business analytics.
• Support local notifications such as stock alerts or daily closing reminders.

3. AI Processing (Google ML Kit)

Shop Yanga integrates modern AI technologies to improve business productivity.

• Google ML Kit: Used for barcode scanning and text recognition. These processes run directly on your device and do not require transmitting your data to external servers.

4. Data Security

We implement robust security practices to protect your business data. All local data is stored within the private application directory provided by your device's operating system. When data is synchronized to our cloud servers, it is transmitted over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS). We do not sell, rent, or trade your business data with third parties. Your explicit permission and credentials are required to access your business data across devices.

5. Third-Party Services

Shop Yanga may use trusted third-party technologies that help provide certain application features.

• Google ML Kit for barcode recognition and text scanning.

These services operate according to their respective privacy policies.

6. Google Play Services

Shop Yanga may rely on Google Play Services which may collect certain information used to identify your device or improve application performance.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Shop Yanga stores your business data both locally on your device and securely on our cloud servers to enable synchronization. Data is retained on our servers as long as your account is active to provide uninterrupted service.

Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated business data from our servers. You can initiate this request via our Account Deletion Page or by contacting support. Additionally, clearing the app's local storage or uninstalling the application will remove the data stored on that specific device.

8. Children's Privacy

Shop Yanga is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Rights

You maintain full control over your business information. You may access, modify, export, or request the deletion of your data at any time. Because your data is synced, changes or deletions will reflect across all your authorized devices connecting to your shop ID.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes occur, the updated version will be posted on this page along with a revised "Last Updated" date.
